That the Asagba of Asaba, Prof. Chike Edozien led a powerful delegation of Anioma leaders to Aso Rock recently to see President Goodluck Jonathan and presented three names; Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa, Hon. Victor Ochei and Hon. Ndudi Elumelu to the president as successors to Gov. Uduaghan of Delta State is no longer fresh news. Since the delegation came back, some people have been shouting on the rooftop about the success of the trip to see the president but they have failed to tell people what the president told the Anioma delegation.

Top Celebrities Magazine, in our usual tradition of investigative journalism can tell you for free what amiable and hardworking President Jonathan told the Anioma delegation.

Insiders squealed to us that after the president received and listened patiently to the Anioma delegation, request of picking one of those names they presented as Gov. Uduaghan’s successor, the president thanked them for coming to see him but advised them to go back home and work in harmony with incumbent Gov. Uduaghan as regards who should succeed him as the next governor of Delta State.

Those in the know told us that it was Senator Okowa, Hon. Victor Ochei and Hon. Ndudi Godwin Elumelu that engineered and sponsored the Anioma delegation’s trip to see the President. The trio are said to be very bitter with the governor for giving his tacit support to Mr. Tony Obuh, a retired Permanent Secretary of the state and not one of them as political pundits have calculated.

We were told that Sen. Okowa is the most aggrieved person of the trio. They said he felt that having worked with Gov. Uduaghan as a fellow commissioner for four years, Secretary to the Delta State Government for four years and Director General of the Uduaghan’s Campaign Organisation, the governor ought to support him as the best person to succeed him.

That is not all, the trio also see Mr. Tony Obuh as someone who has come to reap where he did not sow because they are politicians and have invested money, time and energy into the politics of Delta State for about 14years now and this is harvest time for their political investment.
