Popular singer, Mr Eazi (Oluwatosin Ajibade), has left many stunned with his bold claim about his contribution to the growth of Afrobeats.

Speaking during a recent interview, the singer claimed that he singlehandedly “saved” Afrobeats music in 2016.

Mr Eazi said: “I saved Afrobeats in 2016.”

The singer emerged as one of the breakout stars in the Nigerian and African music industry in 2016, winning the Next Rated award at the 2016 Headies Awards.
