Governor Ganduje’s Wife Faces Arrest

Kano State governor, Abdullahi Ganduje’s wife Hafsat who refused to honour the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) invitation recently is in fresh trouble.

Those in the know told us that the governor’s wife could be arrested if she refuses to report for questioning.

It is interesting to know that the First Lady of Kano State was reported to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) by her son, Abdulazeez Ganduje.

We gathered that the son wrote a petition to the EFCC, detailing how his mother was engaged in alleged fraud and collection of bribes.

Sources who saw the son’s petition said;

“Abdulazeez was approached by a property developer to help facilitate the acquisition of some plots of land in Kano with some hundreds of thousands of US dollars and at least N35 million as facilitation commission.”

“Abdulazeez claimed that he paid the sum in dollars to his mother, Mrs. Ganduje.”

“But three months later, (the property developer) discovered that the plots of land he wanted and had paid the first family for had been allocated to other buyers and he then requested to be refunded.”
