Popular Nigerian comedian, Real Warri Pikin, has appealed to Nigerians to be more understanding following heavy criticism over a viral moment involving singer, Timaya at the 2026 AFRIMMA Awards in Dallas, United States.

The comedian, who addressed the controversy, apologised for her actions.

She said: “Make una take am easy, I beg. I’m sorry. I take full responsibility for my actions.”

“I understand where una dey come from. Maybe some people are just genuinely concerned.”

“I have no intention to disrespect my husband or engage in any inappropriate behaviour. The episode was simply an awkward moment that occurred during a stage performance.”
