Prophet Funmilade Reveals: “Some Gospel Artistes Sing For Money”

Baba SekunderinA gospel music promoter and critic, Rev’d/Prophet Oladipupo Funmilade-Joel has dropped a bomb-shell, that most gospel/Christian singers in the country, today, sing for Mammon not God and are not inspired by God neither are they called to sing, but gate-crashed into the music-genre to make quick money and fame.

Baba Sekunderin as the cleric is popularly called, regretted that these gospel/Christian singers are not inspired by the Holy Spirit, hence, they are merely entertainers, thus misleading believers.

The President, The Way of Reconciliation Evangelistic Ministries (TWOREM) Int’l (a.k.a Prophetic & Solution Chapel) Lagos, Nigeria stressed that these modern gospel singers do not possess the spiritual pedigree to win souls; they lack Holy Spirit to work wonders and miracles and cannot be a crusader of anti-rottenness in the society, and they are pretenders subverting other people’s destinies.

According to Baba Sekunderin; “Yes, it is true one needs money to move people, band members and equipment around, but, one should not allow money, fame and worldly things derail one’s focus, mission and vision. Really, if you stick to God and run away from sins and unrighteousness, money will come naturally, through divine prosperity”.

The cleric added that, gospel music is all about God and His kingdom, helping people to access the throne of grace, so, it becomes a dilute and nuisance-music, when you just inject the name of Jesus into a song and claim it is gospel music.

Baba Sekunderin maintained that as a gospel/Christian singer, you must be chosen and act what you sing. Moreso, church leaders should preach against it for them to change for better, rather than encouraging them.
