Mr. Ima Niboro, Managing Director of News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) is in hot soup and he is cognizant of it. How did he got into this trouble. Insiders said some of his workers wrote a petition against him to minister of information. In the petition they said Ima Niboro awarded a contract of N16.6 million to Infomall to redesign NAN’s webs infrastructure without a tender process.

That is not all, they also accused him of awarding another contract of N16.5million to same company and the money paid instantly without certification by NAN’s IT Unit. The workers added that Niboro bought 4 luxury cars for N50million with the agency’s money within one year and there is no drinking water at the NAN’s head office in Abuja. They added that within one year, Niboro acquired two Ford Pilots trucks for N10.9 million each, a 2010 Range Rover model for N23.5 million after NAN had bought him a Pajero Jeep. Meanwhile, the Federal Ministry of Information has set up a panel to investigate these allegations.
