Iganmode Old Students Reunite

In its resolve to give support to the school, 24years ago graduates of Iganmode Grammar School Ota; Ogun State had a major reunion meeting at the Diplomat Hotel, GRA Ikeja in Lagos. The 1993 graduates’ goal is to give back to their Alma mata and support each other in every possible way.

These set graduated when technology was yet to take off rapidly so there were neither phones nor emails as at the time of graduation leaving most to only relate at a limited level. Until recently when they regrouped through whatsApp with one finding and adding another. The group now has over 200 members.

In her speech, the Public Relation Officer of the group, Mrs. Funke Akinloye, disclosed that, the group’ focus is to give back and promote development that will impact on the students and the look and feel of the school environment.

Many expressed joy for the opportunity to reunite and promise not to let go of each other easily. Those in diaspora were not left out as all activities were transmitted through facebook live streaming.

A minute silence was observed for the departed souls. A 4 man interim executive committee was elected to put a proper structure in place for the proper running of group.
