Gov. Nyesom Wike of Rivers State is now swimming in a fresh crisis. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has beam its searchlight on the suspicious withdrawal of N11 billion from the account of Rivers State government by his key men. The huge amount of money was said to have been withdrawn by Mr. Kingsely Fubara, Director of Finance and Administration of the State’s Government House in cash.

Besides, N1.5 billion was also transferred from the State account with CBN to Mr. Samuel Anya’s account with Zenith Bank. The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami has directed the EFCC to probe this bizarre withdrawal.
