The bitter war between wife of the President of Nigeria, Her Excellency, Aisha Buhari and former First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan which started as a result of the hate campaign speeches during the presidential campaign is not over yet between the two eminent ladies.
Those in the know revealed that recently the former first lady delayed the wife of the president from using the presidential wing of the Abuja airport on her way from the northern part of the country. We were told that Aisha Buhari’s plane had to taxi on ground because Dame Patience Jonathan was at the presidential wing.
Insiders added that it was the former First Lady who drew the first blood after her husband lost the presidential election by quickly hosting the 8th edition of the Africa First Ladies Peace Mission on May 15th 2015 to elect new executives so that Aisha Buhari doesn’t succeed her as president of the mission after she had served as president for four years. She handed over to the First Lady of Sierra Leone, Mrs. Sia Koroma.
Be that as it may, the Sierra Leone First Lady later handed over the presidency of the Africa First Ladies Peace Mission to Her Excellency, Aisha Buhari few months after the former First Lady vacated Aso Rock. Thus, making our president’s wife one of the most influential president’s wife in Africa today.
