Fayemi Insults Tinubu

Dr. Kayode Fayemi, Minister of Mines and Steel Development and a governorship aspirant in Ekiti State under the All Progressives Congress (APC), we gathered insulted the  National Leader of the party, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other party chieftains.

Insiders told us that Fayemi on Tuesday furiously walked out of a meeting the party leaders; Bola Tinubu, Bisi Akande, Segun Osoba, Niyi Adebayo and Pius Akinyelure (Zonal Vice Chairman of the APC in the South-West) were having with the governorship aspirants.

We learnt the meeting took place at the Lagos State Government House in Asokoro, Abuja after the party’s unsuccessful primaries in Ekiti State. The source added that after about two hours, there was a break and the minister walked out of the room ahead of other aspirants and party leaders, entered his car angry and drove off with his driver.

However, Chief Bisi Akande stated afterward that… “The outcome of the meeting would be presented to the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party.”

“Primary election is already written in our constitution but all we want is the happiness of the generality of the leadership, the contestants and our party in general. We took a decision on what will be the best advantage to our party and the country. Consensus is already written in our constitution and it is an option.”
