Jumia Travel, the leading online travel agency, had an interview with Jonathan Odia, the Manager of Valley Front View Hotel, located in the capital city of Lagos, Ikeja. My name is Jonathan Odia and I am the manager of Valley Front View Hotel located in the heart of Ikeja.

Can you tell us about Valley Front View Hotel and the services offered? What kind of amenities are guests looking to enjoy in your hotel?

Valley Front View Hotel is a luxury away from home. It is located in a strategic location in the heart of Ikeja about 17 minutes’ drive from the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Ikeja. Valley Front View Hotel offers a conducive and serene environment with adequate security that gives rest of mind. Valley Front View Hotel offers both local and intercontinental dishes by properly trained and experienced chef. The amenities our guest can enjoy include king size bed, bathtub, jacuzzi, free wifi. Guests that lodge at Valley Front View come from all walks of life i.e. corporate organisation, business, leisure and foreign guests.

What day of the week would you consider best for leisure lodging in your hotel?

For us at Valley Front View Hotel, all days of the week could be considered leisure for lodging. Some of the fun activities that await our guests include swimming pool, sports lounge and a nightclub for party lovers.

What are some of the challenges of running a hotel?

There are myriads of shortfalls associated with running a hotel in Lagos specifically and Nigeria at large. Some of them are lack of funding and the high cost of providing electricity are some of the major challenges we have.

What travel tip(s) do you have for someone visiting Lagos for the first time?

Well, Lagos is the centre of excellence and everyone wants to be here. A city is a safe place for business and leisure. There are so many travel tips. However, one important one is to be alert and conscious wherever you go or visit.
