Sokoto State governor, Aminu Tambuwal is in hot soup.

The State Governor-elect, Ahmed Aliyu has set up a Finance and Debt Verification Committee to probe him.

The committee headed by the Deputy Governor-elect, Mohammed Idris Gobir is set up to identify all the loans secured by the Tambuwal administration since its inception and ascertain if the money borrowed was utilised for the purpose they were meant for.

Some lawmakers of the state have alleged that the Tambuwal administration had secured N86 billion in loans for the state.
