Recently, popular Yoruba actor, Yemi Solade came on Lagos State Television, LTV 8 and said on air that Hon. Rotimi Makinde is not an actor.

Consequently, Hon. Rotimi Makinde reacted immediately to the hullabaloo. Hear him:

“I took the statement credited to a supposed friend Yemi Solade as a complimentary gift for my birthday, I guess he must have been quoted out of context or perhaps he meant to say, Rotimi Makinde never lived on acting. I said so because we have been on sets and at locations on several occasions in the past and indeed he Mr. Yemi Solade surely knows me to be involved in many other good businesses like hospitality and Auto biz where he purchased his very first good car. In line with my principles, I am not prepared to join issues with my friends and colleagues and not even that man who is far older than I do and who grew up in my community, Ile Ife”. Case closed, Hon Rotimi Makinde.

For those who don’t know, Hon. Rotimi Makinde made history as the first Nigerian actor to be elected into the Federal House of Representatives, Abuja.

That’s not all, the Ile-Ife born Hon. Rotimi Makinde has featured in 193 movies and produced 13 movies. He is also a Chartered Accountant and worked with the NNPC for 20 years.
