Onazi Fights Gernot Rohr

Super Eagles midfielder and Trabzonspor of Turky star, Ogenyi Eddy Onazi is very angry with the Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr for not handing him playing time at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The aggrieved player retorted that; “I’ll show my quality and talents to those who didn’t give me the chance to play in the World Cup.”

It is noteworthy that the former Lazio midfielder is currently in a blistering form for his darling club, Trabzonspor where he recently broke a record with 111 touches ahead of Argentinian teammate José Sosa’s 100 touches in their recent march against Antalyaspor in the Turkish Super League on Saturday that ended in a 1-1 draw.

Stats also have it that out of the 92 passes Onazi attempted, he completed 72 and ended the game with a passing accuracy of 82.6 percent. He was also joint top dribbler with Antalyaspor’s Dogukan Sinik with four take-ons. He had five tackles, won two fouls and made one interception.

With Onazi’s current form, he expects that the Super Eagles coach, Rohr could call him up and give him enough minutes to impress for his national team which on the contrary is not happening.
