The embattled leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu’s wife, Uchechi has reacted to reports claiming that she filed for divorce while her husband remains in detention.

Reacting to the rumour in a post on her X page, Uchechi laughed off the claim.

She wrote: “Good conscious evening, my blessed Biafrans. I have just learned that I filed for Divorce while my husband is in prison 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.”

The viral report had alleged that Uchechi decided to end the marriage after years of alleged infidelity, financial neglect and interference from Kanu’s family members, claiming the issues had irreparably damaged their relationship.

It also claimed that she had endured more than a decade of emotional distress caused by Kanu’s alleged extramarital affairs and promiscuous lifestyle.

However, Uchechi’s reaction suggests she considers the report false and baseless.

For those who don’t know, Nnamdi Kanu and Uchechi got married in 2009.
