(Azeez Fashola) as the Lagos State
Government has withdrawn charges against him.
It is interesting to know that the singer was scheduled for arraignment on Wednesday, April 8th, 2020 at the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court in Ogba amongst others for violating the lockdown order by the government.
However, his Counsel, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, (SAN) disclosed that the government withdrew the four counts charges filed against the singer and two other accused persons.
He said; “The charges are withdrawn on the condition that the defendants would tender an apology to President Muhammadu Buhari and the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.”
For those who don’t know, Funke Akindele and her husband, JJC Skillz were on Monday sentenced to 14 days community service and with the fine of N100,000 respectively after they pleaded guilty for hosting guests at their Ajah, Lagos home for a birthday party which was against the government’s restriction order.
