Mimiko Dumped By Commissioners

Gov. MimikoGov. Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State is in pains as two of his ex-commissioners and loyalists have dumped him like bad habit. Mr. Sola Ebiseni, former Commissioner for Environment and Mr. Bamiduro Dada, ex-Commissioner for Chieftaincy Affairs who resigned from his government recently have picked the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship form from the Amodu-Sheriff faction of the party.

Mr. Dada explained why he dumped the Makarfi’s faction of the PDP which Gov. Mimiko belongs to: “We are going the way of liberation and democracy. The step we have taken today is a very bold one. What encouraged me is what the people said about me in town. Mimiko is my leader and my father and I am grateful to him. The step I have taken today is not to reduce his authority, but only following the proper path. It is a divine project. I have nothing against the central. If the central senatorial district should consider anyone, it should be me. I have been in Akure for 25 years.”

Mr. Ebiseni also bares his mind saying: “I am here with foremost mission of rescuing the party from dictatorship and return it to the people. So, many things are happening in the state but the truth of the matter is that Senator Sheriff is the authentic chairman. I challenged every member to bring out their membership card and let us see who sign it? Ondo State needs redemption. Someone who does not know the state cannot rule the state. I am not anybody’s Tomboy.”
