LASG Condemns Attack On KAI Headquarters By Students

Lagos State LogoThe Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Environment, Hon. Babatunde Hunpe, has condemned the recent attack on the KAI Brigade Headquarters in Alausa, Ikeja, by some students of the Lagos State College of Health Technology, Yaba under the guise of a protest.

The Special Adviser said the unruly students claimed to have attacked the Headquarters based on the continued detention of some of their colleagues earlier arrested for obstructing KAI operations in Yaba, adding that such distasteful and unfortunate behaviour is an affront on constituted authority.

Speaking in the same vein, the KAI Marshal General (KMG), Mr. Jimoh Amuzat CSP (Rtd.), denounced the attack by the students on a government property, saying that the ugly episode depicts the level of moral decadence that pervades our educational institutions.

While emphasizing that there is need for moral and ethical rebirth among our youths, Amuzat said some of the students arrested were later released but those that spearheaded the violence have been charged to court based on their level of culpability in the incident.
