Kelechi Iheanacho Reveals Shocking Secrets

Kelechi-IheanachoNigerian born football star and Manchester City striker, Kelechi Iheanacho made some shocking revelations about his life recently. The 19 years old star disclosed that his parents didn’t have television at home for him to watch football matches especially the English Premier League where he plays presently.

He revealed that he could not afford the N50 viewing centres in Owerri, Imo State were charging to watch EPL matches live. He said his friends will come and tell him the results after matches because he didn’t have the money to pay and watch.

He added that sometimes he would have N30 to watch Laliga (Spanish League) and if he would go and beg the viewing centres showing EPL matches to allow him watch second half for N25. The football star mother died in 2013, a few months before he won the Under 17 World Cup with the Nigerian team. Manchester City is said to have paid Taye Academic, Owerri the sum of 350,000 pounds for Iheanacho.

Kelechi Promise Iheanacho was born on 3rd October, 1996. Kelechi has made appearances for Manchester City U-21 team, as well as the Nigeria squad that won the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup and the Nigeria U-20 team at the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup. Iheanacho was called up to the Manchester City senior squad for the 2015–16 season.

Iheanacho was born in Imo and as a youth he represented Taye Academy in Owerri. His performances for Nigeria in the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup led to interest from clubs in Europe. Teams following his progress included Arsenal, Sporting Clube de Portugal and Porto. In December 2013 Iheanacho travelled to England to discuss a move to Manchester City. He signed a pre-contract agreement with the club, stating his intent to formally sign for Manchester City on his 18th birthday in October 2014. As the year drew to a close, the Confederation of African Football named him the Most Promising Talent of the Year for 2013 at the CAF Awards.
