Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State escaped death by whiskers at Reigners Bible Church Incorporated in Uyo recently. Eye witness disclosed to us that the roof of the church building caved in and fell on the worshippers during praise and worship.

We gathered that security details of the governor have to whisk him away from the scene of the accident. However, some of the governor’s aides were not so lucky as many were injured in the melee that followed when the church building collapsed.

The Secretary to the Akwa Ibom State Government had his head shattered and one of the governor’s aides was said to have died on the spot. Also, about 200 people lost their lives in the ugly incident.
