Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State has denied demolishing popular musician, Yinka Ayefele’s N800 million Music House which houses his Fresh FM radio station and music studios.

The governor spoke though Chief Alliyu (SAN), Counsel to Oyo State Government; “The Oyo State Government is not aware of the demolition. We did not demolish Music House.”

It would be recalled that on Sunday, August 19, 2018 the Oyo State Government stormed his Music House along Lagos Ibadan Express Way in Challenge area of Ibadan with bulldozer and pulled down the building that has the musician’s radio station, Fresh FM.

At the scene of the incident, sympathizers and fans of Fresh FM were seen wailing and raining curses on those that carried out the demolition.

Be that as it may, the embattled musician on Monday, August 20, 2018 released a statement saying; “I greet the entire Fresh Fm fans both home and abroad. I wish to extend my heartfelt gratitude for this opportunity and experience.”

“As we all know, Fresh Fm is not an Ayefele owned company but a company owned by the general public. I’ll like to plead with everyone not to cause any casualty especially on the Ajumose bus packed around Music House.”

“Please, do not destroy any government property. This happened for a reason. Let’s leave everything in God’s care. And I’ll like to thank the government of Oyo state for what they have done. Where they began and where they are at the moment.”

“Special thanks to TOYIN ARULOGUN for he was the one who suggested the demolition. And also the Nigeria Broadcasting Corporation for their support. Finally, our program continues as usual and I’ll use this medium to beg the entire crew especially Alhaji Abolade Salami, Soul, Olalomi Amole, Yeye Agbedegbeyo, Babatunmise to stop the cry and mourning.”
