Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo state has called for prayers from religious bodies to end recession adding the peaceful conduct of the gubernatorial election in the state was as a result of prayers.

Obaseki who was represented by his Deputy, Mr Philip Shaibu said Pastor Kumuyi’s visit to the State was apt and a divine call.

According to him “In our state we have a brand new Oba, in the person of Oba Ewaure II, and a brand new leadership. We believe that with this programme – showers of blessing – God’s hand is in Edo, and as a state we would want to tap from the anointing. Though we have recession in the country now, we believe it will end. We want you to pray for the state and the country so that the recession will end”, he said.
