Dame Emmanuella Abimbola Fashola, wife of Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola of Lagos State made a shocking confession about her life when she turned 50 recently. The elegant First Lady of Lagos State revealed that she actually started her working experience as a receptionist. She confessed that after her training as a secretary at Lagoon Secretarial College at Adisa Bashua Street, Surulere, Lagos she started looking for a job. And the only position that was available at that time at the British Council was the position of a receptionist and she grabbed the job with both hands. She said she spent 19years working there.

That’s not all; she revealed that it was actually the husband’s father that ‘toasted’ her for his son at her bosom friend’s engagement ceremony. As they say, the rest is history. The stylish lady also trained as a Journalist with Daily Sketch Newspaper. The mother of two boys, has a Yoruba father and Urhobo mother from Delta State just like her predecessor, Senator Oluremi Tinubu whose mother is Itsekiri from Warri, Delta State. She was honoured by His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI with a Papal Medal award for her contribution to humanity.
