Two members of the Plantashun Boyz; Blackface (Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo) and 2face (Innocent Ujah Idibia) are now at war. The musicians who were once best of friends no longer speak to each other. What happened?
Blackface on television on Friday January 30th, 2016 revealed that 2face has been trying to destroy his music career even since the Plantashun Boyz broke up and they went solo. He disclosed on the live television programme that he wrote the song “African Queen” which 2face released in 2006 and he did not give him credit. Yet, the song brought fame and fortune to 2face and it was even used for Phat Girlz film sound track.
From all indications, Blackface who hails from the same Benue State with 2face is very bitter with him over how he has cheated him out of the song, “African Queen” since the Plantashun Boyz broke up, 2face is obviously the richest and most popular of the group made up of Faze, 2face and Blackface. They met in 1996 at the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu (IMT) as students and the rest is history.
