Aba, the commercial city of Abia State is on fire. Sources said that some unidentified persons have set the Ariaria Police Divisional Headquarters on fire as Ariaria market and other markets in the city have closed down.

We gathered that businesses have also closed and people are now indoors as youth unrest spread round the city like wild fire.

There are rumours that soldiers have burnt houses and attacked some residents of Umuode near Aba and its environs. Meanwhile, security has been beefed up at the Aba Area Command Headquarters and other Police Divisions in the commercial city.
