Famous Nigerian actress, Tonto Dikeh is in hot soup.

She was slammed with a N200 million lawsuit at a Federal Capital Territory, FCT, High Court by human rights lawyer, Ikechukwu Obasi.

Obasi sued the actress on behalf of the school girl. The human rights lawyer emphasized that the teenage girl was subjected to what he calls a harmful religious ritual which the footage was shared online.

Obasi said: “The circulation of the clip without the girl’s consent, violateds her privacy rights ‘under Section 37 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Child Rights Act 2003”.

He demanded that Tonto Dikeh pay N200 million in damages, issue a public apology, and remove the footage from all social media platforms.

Obasi further urged the court to declare the act a violation of the girl’s constitutional rights to dignity and personal privacy.
