Millions of Nigerians were dazed with the way and manner Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) former Director-General, Mr. Patrick Akpobolokemi was bundled into a bus recently by EFCC operatives outside a court room. But why was he arrested that way?

We can tell you for free that the former NIMASA boss is in fresh trouble. Insiders revealed that he has been linked to alleged fraud of about N12billion. There is an allegation that he paid about N11billion to ex-militant, Tompolo (Government Ekpemopolo).

That’s not all, we gathered that he allegedly embezzled about N816million meant for Voluntary International Maritime Organization Members State Audit (VIMASA).

Sources said when the EFCC operatives informed the former NIMASA boss about an order to re-arrest him to face fresh allegations of fraud, he resisted arrest and went into shouting spree with them, hence he was practically bundled into a bus.

Be that as it may, the EFCC had arraigned the former NIMASA boss and others for allegedly embezzling N2.6billion. He was granted bail on the day he was re-arrested.
