In an effort to show their support and solidarity, Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, last weekend led other top monarchs to Kano on a visit to the newly turbaned Emir of the ancient city, Emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.
It was gathered that the visit that was initiated by Oba Akiolu was attended by some prominent obas as well as highly referred chiefs in the state. Some of those who made the visit include Oba Saheed Elegunshi of Ikateland, HRM Oba Idowu Abiodun Oniru, Ayangburen of Ikorodu, S.A.A Oyefusi, Alayeluwa Oba Shefiu Olatunji Adewale Bamgbopa, Oba of Ijoraland, Oba Fatai Oyeyinka Aromire, Oyegbemi II among others.
We were also informed that Oba Akiolu and Sanusi Lamido Sanusi have long standing relationship and it started when Akiolu was AIG in the Nigeria police.
