Ex-Super Eagles captain and striker, Kanu Nwankwo has been appointed by Governor Emeka Ihedioha of Imo State as his Senior Special Assistant on Sports.

In a statement by the governor’s Special Assistant on New Media, Akwarandu Izuchukwu, it states;

“In this new role, the Nigeria World Cup skipper will assist the Ihedioha administration on rebuilding the sports sector in Imo State.”
