Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina State has denied planning to kill his predecessor, former Governor Ibrahim Shema. His spokesman, Abdul Labarun denied the allegation made by the former governor recently:  “Ex-Governor Shema should face his cases at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and stop crying fowl.”

“Why should Masari be dragged into this? We are talking of accountability and stewardship and the EFCC is the organ tackling Shema over the issue. Please leave Masari out of all these. Tell the Shema camp to own up to their responsibilities when in office.”
