The crisis rocking the Lagos State House of Assembly has taken a fresh dimension as the speaker, Hon. Mudashiru Obasa has teamed up with the speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila to battle Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola and Senator Bayo Osinowo.

A lawmaker told us that; “We will no longer allow anyone to sit in Abuja and be controlling us in Lagos Assembly.”

Insiders said that the crisis led to the indefinite suspension of four lawmakers including two principal officers; Mr. Rotimi Abiru – Chief Whip; Mr. Olumuyiwa Jimoh – Deputy Majority Leader; Mr. Moshood Oshun, and Mr. Raheem Kazeem loyal to Senator Bayo Osinowo.

We gathered that the two principal officers replacing the suspended lawmakers, Hon. Noheem Adams – Deputy Majority leader and Mojisola Miranda – Chief Whip are loyalists of Gbajabiamila.

Sources said that, Ayodeji Joseph, Special Adviser to Femi Gbajabiamila on Political Matters, South-West was at plenary on Tuesday to observe the proceedings. Ayodeji took to his facebook page to thank Obasa for making Miranda chief whip.

Information reaching us has it that Senator Osinowo is said to have a huge influence on the House from his new base in Abuja.
