2023: Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed Backs Ango’s North Consensus, Endorses Saraki

The Saraki Nigeria ‘23 group has commended the the bravery of the Northern Elders Forum spokesmen, Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed for backing the Prof Ango Abdullahi’s consensus committee report having endorsed the president of the eight (8th) senate, and former governor of kwara state, H.E. Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki and the governor of Bauchi state, H. E. Sen. Bala Mohammed as the northern consensus candidate.

In a statement which was credited to the spokesman, Baba-Ahmed, he commended the report of Prof Ango Abdullahi while also stating that the leadership of the NEF is “Solidly” behind him.

According to the NEF’s spokesperson, Ahmed noted that entire forum is loyal to Prof. Ango.

“We are loyal to him (Ango Abdullahi).”
The former Secretary of the Independent National Electoral Commission stated that they were not against Prof. Ango Abdullahi, adding that “he is committed to orderly and good governance, and as such, we are loyal to him.” Dr Baba-Ahmed said.

The forum’s Director of Media and Advocacy lamented that what the country was going through in the last decades was because Nigerians elected poor leaders, saying, “I think it is not their fault but also our fault too.” Baba-Ahmed further said

According to Daily post, the NEF’s spokesman opined that something was wrong with Nigerians, stressing that “they don’t elect good leaders who care about the country, instead they elect leaders who only care about themselves.”

While praising the Prof Ango led consensus committee, the group reiterated their commitment towards the actualization of a Bukola Saraki presidency, adding that it is the right way to go to provide real solution and fix the country.
