Chief Alegho Raymond Dokpesi, being an illustrious son of Edo state and Mike Oghiadomhe, a former deputy governor of the state and men of a particular affiliation by means of political party, it will be naturally expected that the two are allies but from information at our disposal, these two top Edo men are reported to be parallel lines that do not meet. Although, the kind of relationship that has always existed between them could not be ascertained but it was revealed their cold war started some months ago.

Those that are in the know revealed that the rift started when it became apparent to Oghiadome that he was going to be relieved of his job as the Chief of Staff to the president and news was rife it was Raymond who was going to replace him. For reasons best known to Mike, he was said to have started the whole things by giving attitude that were unnecessary to Dokpesi. In the opinion of some who are privileged to be in the picture, Mike, it was said believed Dokpesi had plotted for his position and the plot paid off.

Privileged sources revealed Dokpesi was actually considered for the position of the Chief of Staff because he was eventually taken out of the picture in order for Jonathan’s government to score some political points by gaining relevance in the South-West, where the Chief of Staff, retired military officer, Sehinde Arogbofa was picked.

The cold war between Raymond and Mike, we were reliably informed came into the public consciousness at Abeokuta few months back, when one of the spokespersons of the presidency, Reuben Abati, staged burial ceremony for his late mother.
