What Many Don’t Know About Ebele The Flutist

EbeleEbele is a very courageous, independent, focus and determined person. She is a singer, songwriter, composer and an instrumentalist. She plays flute and keyboard, and her genre of music is contemporary gospel and jazz.

Ebelechukwu which translation in English means THE MERCY OF GOD IS GREAT. She is compassionate and very precocious. At the age of three while she was growing up in Benin- Edo state, Niger-Delta part of Nigeria, where she was born and completed her primary and secondary education. Ebele later moved to Enugu, eastern part of Nigeria where she got admitted into higher institution to study Accounting and later Business Administration. Ebele has been working as an Accountant.

Ebelechukwu is originally from Anambra State, she is from a Christian home, the second of 6 children, comprising of 2 girls and 4 boys. Ebele started music at a tender age from her family church where she was part of the choir. She started playing flute at the age of 15years and also learning how to sing. At a tender age, she realized that she had a strong passion for music. Ebele pursued her childhood passion courageously. She later joined a music group called “THE AGAPE VOICES’. The group performed frequently at local functions and mostly in concerts around the country and in churches as well.

Ebele, later withdrew from the group and relocated to Lagos to pursue her music career. She has performed in various events where her confidence grew and style developed. Ebele has stepped up her game and has taken music professionally.

Ebele 1Ebele has been nominated for several awards, amongst which are; Sceptres Award, Crystal Award, Nigeria Gospel Music Video Award, Nigeria Gospel Music Award. Recently, she was given a recognition Award as the First Female Flutist in Nigeria by Classic African Merit Award (CAMA).

When asked about her future aspirations, hear what she has to say; “My future aspiration is to fulfill God’s given destiny/purposes, and to influence people and make a different in their lives especially the youth. I want to become a professional musician; I want to tour the world and play on the biggest stages and to become a mega star and best female flutist.
