Victor Umeh Denies Biafra

Victor Umeh

Former National Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Victor Umeh has denied Biafra Republic and anything that has to do with the agitation and actualization of Biafra Republic by Igbo people in Nigeria.

The APGA Senatorial candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial District who was arrested by the Department of State Security Service (DSS) over allegation of sponsoring the agitation for Biafra Republic made a shocking confession during interrogation by the operatives of DSS. Hear him: “I told them that the Republic of Biafra is defunct and there was no way I could be agitating for it or making it a campaign issue, reminding him that I hold the national honour of OFR which I am ready to defend anywhere.”

Well, Victor Umeh was arrested last week in Awka, Anambra State and taken to Abuja by road and was questioned based on some sensitive statements he allegedly made while addressing a political rally. He was said to have accused President Buhari of shielding Boko Haram fighters at internally displaced persons camps and responsible for the fall of the naira because he is clueless.
