Popular human rights activist, Aisha Yesufu has criticised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over its proposal to adopt artificial intelligence (AI) in the collation of results for the 2027 general elections.

In a video shared on X, Yesufu said:

“INEC has no business using AI for the 2027 election. Companies are still reeling from the repercussions of CAC dabbling in AI.”

“To get what you are asking for, we have to first vote in those who are not afraid of accountability, transparency and scrutiny!”

“Whatever you need answers to when it comes to governance starts and ends with who is voted into office.”
