UBA Foundation Launches 9th Edition Of NEC In Senegal

The UBA Foundation announced in December 2022, the opening for entries into the 2023 National Essay Competition (NEC). The NEC has seen more than 15,000 applications registered, 87 finalists rewarded and 24 scholarships awarded since its inception in 2013 in Senegal.

The competition has kept getting better since it started and the foundation is proud to be part of the success stories of African youths through the National Essay Competition’s life-changing opportunities.

This was reiterated by the Managing Director, Tony Odeigah at the official ceremony which took place at the bank’s head office.

Odeigah reassured of the foundation’s commitment to contributing to the enhancement of students’ knowledge while offering them a chance to obtain funding for their higher education.

The topic for this year’s edition is: “In a world devastated by all kinds of crises, sport and culture are the most effective means of soothing hearts and minds. Do you share this point of view?”.

The deadline for submission is 4 March 2023.
