President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick has thrown weight behind the selection of Prince Tshola Emiko as the new Olu of Warri.

He said; “About 99% of the Itsekiri people are behind the choice of Tshola Emiko as new Olu of Warri-designate.”

“The Itsekiri Kingdom is seeking for peaceful resolution of the Royal tussle that ensued during the run-up to the process that led to the announcement of the new king.”

For those who don’t know, descendants of the Itsekiri nation from across the country gathered at Ode-Itsekiri (big Warri), the ancestral home of the Itsekiri people, to herald the unveiling of the new Olu of Warri, Prince Utieyinoritsetsola Emiko, 37.
