Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Mmakinde has formally declared his intention to join the 2027 presidential race.

This development comes as a faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) formed an alliance with the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) to strengthen the opposition ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The PDP and APM on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

Seyi Bamidele signed the MoU on behalf of the PDP, while Oladele Oyadeji signed for the APM.
