Senator Iyiola Omisore refused to attend a meeting called by President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa for all APC governorship aspirants in Osun State.
Omisore had earlier described his disqualification from the primary as a joke.
After meeting with President Tinubu, seven APC governorship aspirants have decided to step down to back Bola Oyebamiji as the consensus governorship candidate for Osun State APC in the forthcoming primary.
The aspirants who stepped down include former Deputy Governor Benedict Olugboyega Alabi, Dotun Babayemi, Akin Ogunbiyi, Senator Babajide Omoworare, Kunle Adegoke (SAN), Babatunde Haketer Oralusi, and Mulikat Abiola Jimoh.
