Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Jide Idris is in hot soup. Insiders said the medical doctor who was Commissioner for Health for 8years under former Governor Babatunde Fashola before his re-appointment a few days ago by Gov. Ambode is now fighting the political battle of his life as members of the Lagos State House of Assembly have vowed to watch him carefully in their oversight duties.

Insiders said the lawmakers dealt with him when he appeared for screening before the Ad Hoc Committee. We were told the lawmakers tongue-lashed him for his arrogance towards them as Commissioner for Health for 8years and sent him away. Our sources added that he quickly ran to Chief Mrs. Kemi Nelson for help and she brought him back the next day appealing to the lawmakers to have mercy on him because they are blood relatives. Those who witnessed the show confirmed to us that the commissioner was almost in tears when the lawmakers took him to the cleaners.
