Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Kayode Fayemi has resigned from the federal cabinet.

The minister disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari accepted his resignation which he turned in a few weeks ago. The resignation is effective May 30.

Dr. Fayemi is the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming governorship election in Ekiti State scheduled for July 14, 2019.
