Jimoh IbrahimThese are not the best of times for billionaire businessman, Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim, Group Managing Director of Energy Group. Insiders squealed to us that the Ondo State born business mogul has fallen on bad times.

The insider disclosed that he has not paid Newswatch Times workers for 14 months and he’s also owing National Mirror Newspaper workers 11 months salary. Also, they added that Ifeanyi Ubah has snatched his Saturday editor to Authority Newspaper. We were told that he has leased out the second and sixth floors of NICON Insurance building in Abuja due to hard times.

We gathered that even his hotel, NICON Luxury is not doing well as only the grand floor and 5th floor are in usage. All the other floors are empty. Besides, the Federal Inland Revenue Service officials are also on his neck over tax evasion.

Some of his workers hinted us that officials of FIRS invaded the premises of NICON Insurance and pasted tax evasion papers on the front and back of the office and uptill now, Jimoh Ibrahim has not paid the tax. The workers added that he now sneaks into Abuja and has been trying to see President Buhari without success. Also, he has not paid back the N35.5 billion Aviation Intervention Fund Loan he took from the Federal Government on behalf of Air Nigeria.
