Independent Media Support Organisation (IMSO – Obiano 2017) in association with Igbo Film Forum Nollywood is set to honour the wife of Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State, Her Excellency, Chief (Mrs.) Ebelechukwu Obiano with the prestigious award; “Nneoma Ndigbo Na Nollywood”.

Also, Chief Sir Victor Umeh will be installed as the “Life Patron” of Ndigbo Nollywood and honoured with the prestigious title; “Odogwu Ndigbo Nollywood.”
They will be honoured at the annual Nollywood Igbo Festival Of Arts & Culture. The Festival is intended to help film makers reach their broadest possible audience, enable the film community and general public to experience the power of cinema and promote Anambra State as a major Film making center.
The high point of the festival will be official endorsement and show of solidarity for Governor Willie Obiano’s re-election bid.
The theme of the festival is; “SOUTH EAST: THE ACTUALIZATION OF IGBO FILM INDUSTRY AND EMPOWERING PRACTITIONERS.”
Other features of the grand event are Lecture, Courtesy visits, New Yam Festival and Cultural Displays, etc. The festival will hold on 27th August. 2017, 3pm till 10:00pm at Maybond Hotel Ltd, Unizik Junction, Awka, Anambra State.
