A 32 year old man Ezekiel Igbokwe and his wife Juliet Igbokwe were on Thursday paraded before newsmen by the Ogun State Command of Nigeria Police for killing one Victor Olatundun who was alleged to be a concubine to Juliet.

Parading the suspects, the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Illiyasu, said the suspects were arrested by the Police at his home in Awa-Ijebu, Ijebu North Local Government area of Ogun State on 25th July after killing Olatundun with machete.

“The suspect alleged that on the night of 24th July, he returned from Onitsha in Anambra State and met the deceased, Victor Olatundun having an affair with his wife, Juliet, inside his matrimonial home. They started fighting and in the process, he used machete to cut his hand and head which later resulted to his death”.

CP Illiyasu said the wife was arrested by the police because “she was a partner in crime, if she had not lured the man, such a thing might not have happened”.

Narrating his ordeal, Ezekiel who is a father of three said “I have married my wife, Juliet for about 12 years. We met in Ago-Iwoye and had 3 Children, all female. I am a business man and I had travelled to Onitsha on a business trip when I arrived that fateful night and met the man on top of my wife. The man was bigger than me, we engaged ourselves in a physical combat before I used the cutlass under my bed to release myself from the man”.

Also speaking, Juliet said: “I am a trader who deals in snuff and hot drinks. I love my husband, but couldn’t understand why such a mess happened”.

She added that “the man may have used juju on her as I don’t know why he came that day, though, my husband has not been taking good care of me, but that does not warrant me having illicit affairs”.
