Gov. Udom Emmanuel Rejoices With Gov. Ikpeazu

Akwa Ibom State Governor Mr Udom Emmanuel was among the dignitaries that attended the Interdenominational thanksgiving Service and re-dedication of Abia State to God following the Supreme Court Judgement which reaffirmed the election of Dr Victor Ikpeazu as the duly elected Governor of Abia State.

At the event which took place at Umuahia Township Stadium, Governor Ikpeazu expressed appreciation to the people for the massive support which culminated to the victory in the last election and his emergence as Governor of Abia State.

Governor Ikpeazu dedicated the victory to God and his supporters stating that his administration is well positioned to carry out people oriented and developmental programmes which would take the State to greater height of development in line with the realities of the moment and announced that six roads which he constructed while the election tribunal case lasted are ready for commissioning.

Dedicating the State to God, Reverend Uma Ukpai stated that Abians should not be suffering in the midst of abundant resources and that the State is slow to development because the people have refused to acknowledge the supremacy of God and solicited prayers from the people to enable God open doors of multiple blessings on the land.

He commended Governor Ikpeazu for bringing God to superintend over the affairs of the State by dedicating his administration and the entire State to God saying that his administration would witness remarkable developmental strides and used the occasion to call on the Governor to industrialise the area so that the youths would be meaningfully engaged.

The new National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party and former Governor of Borno State, Alhaji Ali Sherriff said that Governor Ikpeazu’s election was a confirmation of his acceptability by his people maintaining that modalities have been put in place to enable the Party reclaim power in the next general election and advised defectors to come back to the Party assuring that the Party structure has been enlarged to accommodate everyone.

The Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose who spoke on behalf of the Governors of Akwa Ibom, Mr Udom Emmanuel, that of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, their Delta State counterpart, Ifeanyi Okowa, the Deputy Governor of Ebonyi and Bayelsa States, congratulated Governor Ikpaezu on his Supreme Court victory describing it as a victory for Democracy, the people of Abia as well as the Peoples Democratic Party and urged the people to keep fate with the party for the fulfillment of all its campaign promises.
