Gov. Uduaghan Opens Up On Tompolo

Emmanuel UduaghanGov. Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State has opened up on ex-militant, Tompolo (Government Ekpemupolo) for the very first time. The number one citizen of Delta State reacted to the rumour making rounds that he shelved his ambition of going to the senate because of threats by Tompolo to set Delta State on fire.

The medical doctor turned politician revealed recently that Tompolo is his younger brother and he has saved Tompolo’s life in the past. He said Tompolo has a lot of respect for him. According to His Excellency, some people were not happy that he drew Tompolo closer after the Niger-Delta crisis. He explained that Tompolo only has a larger than life image which he doesn’t deserve.

The governor pointed out that Tompolo cannot tell him not to go to the senate but he dropped his ambition of going to the senate as a sacrifice for peace in the state. Meanwhile, Top Celebrities Magazine investigations showed that the Itsekiri tribe which the governor hails from are not happy that he shelved his senatorial ambition. We were told that Delta South Senatorial District which comprises the Isoko, Ijaw and Itsekiri tribes have a zoning arrangement as far as the senate seat is concerned. We gathered that Chief (Mrs.) Stella Omu, an Isoko has gone to the senate and James Manager, an Ijaw is there now and it is the turn of the Itsekiri tribe to go. But Gov. Uduaghan allowed the same James Manager to go for a second term while the Itsekiri tribe was left out. We gathered that the Itsekiri people are very bitter over this issue but they are just being civil and law abiding about it because they are very civilized people who don’t like taking laws into their hands.
