These are not the best of times for Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State as the All Progressive Grand Alliance lawmakers in the Abia State House of Assembly are set to battle him to a standstill.

The twelve APGA lawmakers are shouting on the rooftop that the governor and speaker of the house lied and deceived them to approve a N30billion to be taken by the governor.

The lawmakers added that the speaker told them the N30billion loan is to finance developmental projects which includes the drudging of Abia River, construction of roads and health facilities only for them to discover that the loan is actually meant to pay for accumulated debts incurred by Ex-Governor Theodore Orji.

The lawmakers are now warning commercial banks not to give the loan to the governor and they have invited the governor to appear before them to explain why he lied and deceived them. The Abia State House of Assembly is made up of thirteen PDP lawmakers and twelve APGA lawmakers.
