Florence Ita-Giwa In Police Trouble

Senator Florence Ita-Giwa, popularly called Mama Bakassi was grilled by the Police for about 2hours in Calabar, Cross River State recently.

Those close to her told us that she was preparing for a great rally where she will formally decamp from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) when she was invited by the police.

Insiders squealed to us that she was cautioned not to cause the breakdown of law and order in the state with her supporters.

It is interesting to know the senator and Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State have been having a running battle over relief material for Bakassi Internally Displaced People (IDP).

Besides, the senator had earlier accused the governor of sending people to invade her residence in Calabar: “Governor Ayade’s aides stormed these premises in my absence to remove the car the governor gave to me. They removed the Prado Jeep. Even if they had wanted the car, they should have written to me or waited for me to come back. But they stormed the premises in my absence and collected the car. What has car got to do with the missing relief materials?”
