These are not the best of times for former Governor Ibrahim Shema of Katsina State. Three palatial buildings belonging to the politician have been sealed off by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The houses are situated at Makera Estate, along Daura Road, Barhim Estate and the Government Reserved Area, Katsina.

It is interesting to know that the EFCC had declared Shema wanted over an alleged N76 billion fraud few weeks ago and when he showed up at their office, his international passport was seized.

Insiders squealed to us that his successor, Governor Aminu Masari has petitioned the EFCC leveling allegations of fraud against him. Those close to Gov. Masari added that he has vowed to recover all alleged stolen money from his predecessor.
